The People Driving Real Change - February 2025

Education is at the heart of HUGE, but none of it happens without dedicated people working behind the scenes.

On a recent visit to Nabugabo Community Primary School, trustee Bridget worked alongside our bursar to introduce a new accounting programme, distributed new uniforms to every student, strengthened IT access, reviewed budget processes, improved classroom environments, and supported reading initiatives. Thank you, Bridget, for coming out to Uganda and spending time at the school.

Equally vital is the work of Emma, a friend of HUGE, who has been instrumental in developing our new accounting system. This interactive programme will enhance our financial processes and increase transparency thereby improving governance overall. Emma balances a full-time job and two young children, yet she still found time to ensure HUGE can continue to make a real impact.
