April 2020 - Support needed more than ever!
With many children and teachers starting the Summer term in their new virtual classrooms, we think of children and teachers across Africa where such communication and learning is not possible. In Uganda, schools are still officially closed and many shops, work places and factories are also shut by presidential ruling. This has significant repercussions for the Country as a whole, especially where government support is limited. Whilst Uganda has a very young population, with almost half the population under the age of 15, which should help its resilience to coronavirus, the shutdown of essential services and education will have huge impacts on the physical and mental wellbeing of many, especially the young. We at HUGE continue to assist the children and community in Nabugabo and we thank all our donors for their continued support at this very difficult time. It is now more important than ever.
